Festival 2017 - getting ready in the holidays

Shoes.jpg

We've got some shoes to fill!

Our annual Festival is the school’s biggest fundraiser. It is a very popular event on the school calendar that students, families and the wider community look forward to.

Thank you to everyone who has already confirmed their participation in Festival 2017, on Sunday 27 August.  Without your help the Festival simply would not happen.

Unfortunately, many of our long-term Festival helpers finished up at Holy Cross last year. We need a volunteer to run our Trash and Treasure stall.

Have an idea for a stall of your own?
New stall ideas are always welcome. Contact Kylie Braine at kylieb@iprimus.com.au

Under 8s stall
The Under 8s stall run by Mrs Elder is seeking lots and lots of donations of new, or second-hand, jewellery and scarves to sell.

If you have any items you no longer wish to wear, please donate them to the Under 8s stall. Please drop at the office or to Mrs Elder directly.

Craft stall
We are looking for crafty volunteers to make items to donate to sell at the Festival.

Don't know how to sew but want to help? Do you have material or other items that you could donate?

Please contact Mrs Kerry Laube.

Can you add some colour to this year's Festival?
The Crazy Hair stall is always a hit with the children. We are looking for apprentice hairstylists - no experience is necessary. If you can tease and spray colour hair, then you've got all the skills we need. Please contact Monique Zappert.

Book stall

School holidays are a great time to clean out your bookcases, shelves and coffee tables. The Book stall is seeking donations of books, magazines, music CDs and DVDs. Drop off times to be announced in Term 3.

Do you have a comfy old armchair (or two) that we could use at the stall? Or perhaps some book shelves for display? Please contact Alison Strong.

Book stall
Do you have a clean jar or plastic takeaway container that you could fill with something from around the house? At the Tombola Stall you choose a number from the barrel and if it matches one of the prizes, you win that prize.

Suggestions include:
Lollies Small toys Buttons Paper clips
Scratchies Buttons Rubber bands Lollies
Hair clips Coloured pencils Lego Sugar cubes
Tea bags Small toys (preferably new) Etc

So if you have an empty jar at home and something fun to fill it with, please drop it back to school, there will be a box at the office for you to leave them in. Any questions please contact Lauren Milner.
